Texas Art Asylum is a must visit for anyone who creates. From doll parts to old photographs, fabrics and mechanical pieces, the store has a bit of everything. Some things can be found in old library cabinets, metal shelves, or laid out on tables but something is sure to inspire and make you want to create. As if a visit to the store isn’t enough stimulation on its own, they are also hosting a Stranger Things themed show on The show dates are Saturday, December 2nd 2-9pm and Sunday, December 3rd from 1-5pm, at 1719 Live Oak, Houston, Texas.

We will have vendors, and a special booth featuring the art from this years “Burtonesque” gallery event, including new art from new submissions! There will be boooootiful artisans, maniacal music, frightening delicious treats, and a sense of mystical wonderfulness that only the spirit of Tim Burton can bring to the season. Art, vendors, food trucks, artisans, artist booths, face painting and more. This is a FREE and family and pet friendly event.
Heartmade Art Market will return to Main Street Square to host a Holiday art market in the heart of Downtown Houston on Saturday December 9 from 11:00 A.M. -6:00 PM. Spend the day exploring the works of over 50 local artists, crafters and creatives with works ranging from jewelry and apparel to home goods and art. The fun-filled event will host a little something for everyone with music by DJ ILL-SET, strolling Christmas carolers, photo opportunities with Santa and Mrs. Claus, food truck fare, special interactive elements like a children’s “Imagination Station” hosted by Young Audiences of Houston and much more! Did we mention, this is a FREE event?
100% of the booth fees from the Heartmade Holiday Art Market benefit Hoof Prints and Heart Beats Organization, a volunteer-run organization that offers free equine therapy and equine-enhanced counseling to children and adults with special needs.
The Underground Art Market will be celebrating it’s 11th anniversary of this year. It is an intimate art crawl through a private home where you can enjoy mini shops set up by individual artists, a house concert, warm cider and the community you love!
