The actors all agreed that this, the second film in The Hunger Games trilogy is darker in tone than the first, but they couldn’t agree on the level of violence in the first picture. Alan Ritchson thinks that the first one wasn’t intense enough while Jena Malone argues that it does a great job at setting the tone for the second film, Catching Fire.

“When you see this movie, It’s going to rock your world.” – Jeffrey Wright

Stephanie Schlund shared that one of her favorite parts of the set was the area that was constructed as the training center. An underground parking lot which was directly under the Georgia Dome was transformed with concrete structures into the otherworldly design. Every few minutes a train would go by so the re-shoots were endless.

When asked what imaginary character they would bring into the arena with them if they were fighting in the Hunger Games, Jena Malone got the biggest laugh with her reply, The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man from the Ghostbusters film. Sam Claflin wooed the audience with his British accent and British answer, Harry Potter.

Alan Ritchson said that his favorite character in the series is Gail, and if he had to enter into the Hunger Games, his partner would be Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch.
