At a writers meeting the presenter is saying that the character’s main goal must be clear in the first chapter. I questioned what about slice of life stories? She says no. They don’t work. She also said that there is no place for sheepish or gawky female characters. What do you think? Can’t there be a little story about a quiet girl?
