If you have six minutes to spare, might I suggest that you use it to watch this video on Chinese artist and political dissident Ai Weiwei. CBS Sunday Morning show did a feature on Weiwei that gives a brief but well rounded intro to his work, his history and his trouble with the Chinese government.

In 2011 Ai Weiwei was arrested and imprisoned for 81 days with no word as to his whereabouts or safety. The government claimed that he was arrested for tax evasion but it is widely believed that he was actually arrested because the government was unhappy with his confrontation about the shoddy designs of public schools which toppled over, killing hundreds in 2008.

Last Spring Houston was host to Ai Weiwei’s sculptures the Zodiac Heads. They were on display outside of the zoo at Hermann Park. They are shown briefly in the video.
