Barry Lyga’a book, I Hunt Killers, explains the life of a serial killer through the eyes of his son. As an author, Lyga did a fabulous job riding the thin line of presenting enough description to young readers for them to understand the horror of the situation without over-stepping the line.
The sequel to I Hunt Killers, Game will be released on April 16, 2012. Its already earned a starred review from Booklist. In this book the killer’s son, Jazz, is asked to come to NYC to help solve a crime.
Lyga started his career in Young Adult writing with the well recieved book The Astonishing Adventures of Fan Boy and Goth Girl. He has also written short stories and a graphic novel, MangaMan.
